Fun safe area on the sound side to take the kiddos. The sound is not as rough as the ocean, so if you have very small children and want to relax as well, this is a fun spot to float around and even better to capture the sunset.

Breathtaking sunsets. More calm and shallow water here on the sound side of the island. Small sandy beach. Parking area. Showers and changing stalls. Relax and enjoy the views or bring your water toys for a couple hours of fun!

Just south of Salvo, great for swimming, kite boarding, kayaking. You can even park your vehicle on the sound side beach and picnic all day. They have restrooms and showers.

This is the Sound which is calmer waters. Great for people who do not want to deal with the waves of the ocean. The water is shallow. Great for paddle boarding, or letting the little ones play in warm/shallow water. Nice for kayaking, also. Picnic tables. Watch the wind surfers/kite boarders.
