Although our community’s infrastructure resembles a barrio, it is extremely safe – there is no criminal activity, and neighbors are always looking out for each other. I have lived here for 30 years. I have never known of any burglary or trespassing. Please be assured that you, and your family, will be safe here. There are three restaurants, a gas station, tortilla factory and grocery store.

Our guesthouse is located on historic Highway 28, also known as the Don Juan de Onate Trail, which connects El Paso and Las Cruces. It is one of the area's most scenic routes. You can find breweries, multiple wineries, and the famous Chopes restaurant and bar along the route. The highlight of the 10-mile drive from our little house in San Miguel to historic Mesilla takes you through unique canopies of pecan trees, in the largest pecan-producing county in the nation.

The Desert Dome @ BNC Farms

Welcome to the Desert Dome! We are located in small village of Chaparral, NM. This is a great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of life while still having all the city amenities close by. You can find lots of hiking and biking trails in the area. We love furry friends, and would be happy to have your pets here too. There is a fenced in back area for their use. All pets must be leashed if not in the fenced area.
