Located approximately 6 minutes to War, WV and HMT trailhead. A Short, nice ride to the Wilmore Dam, and to High Rocks. NEW ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR LARGE TRAILERS across the street from the Cottage. In addition to approximately 50 ft. in front, 40 ft. in back, 30 ft. on the side of the cottage. SEE PARKING PHOTOS. We are on Rt 16, part of the ”Head of the Dragon” Motorcycle Riding Route in Caretta, WV. You will have easy on/off access to “Warrior Trail” from Caretta or War.

About 5 minutes away from Gilbert area, where trail heads start. Quiet area & cozy. With access to in ground pool. The pool is open from June 1st to September 1st. Only about 5 minutes from R D Bailey dam with picnic/play areas and visitor center with a nice view of the dam and lake. Great for boating and fishing. Close to trail 12, Mexican restaurant, grocery stores, Dollar stores, Giovanni’s, & more! Lots of hiking areas and other local parks and recreation areas.

We are only 250 yards from trail 17 of the RockhousTrail and only five minutes from the grocery store, restaurants, and gas stations in downtown Gilbert. We can leave trail permits and maps in the cabin for you so there's no need to worry about running those down. Our cabins are very well kept and clean.
