West Plains School House

Relax in the School House, a rural setting 10 minutes from Invercargill city, is peaceful and modern with a touch old school charm. We home an array of farm animals, cows, sheep, and 2 friendly Kune Kune pigs who live their best life in the orchard. You are welcome to make use of our multi sport turf, tennis rackets and outdoor bowling kits are provided🙂 The Flat is attached to our home, the bedroom has a queen bed and the lounge has a double sofa bed. Tea/coffee/continental breakfast provided.

Relax and put your feet up in this peaceful hideaway, down a back section in the heart of Windsor. A 5-minute walk from the shopping centre with a supermarket, pharmacy, boutique shops, pizzeria, fish and chips and cafes. A short stroll away is the Waihopai River Walkway, the beautiful Queens Park is a 10-minute walk away, and 10 minutes drive to the city centre. Please note the 2nd bed is a fold out couch (it is extra) and the guesthouse is beside our garage (so you may hear the garage door).

Local shops with takeaways, chemist, restaurant within 10 minutes walk. Truck Museum 4 minutes drive and Motorcycle Mecca around 8 minutes drive. Queens Park, a paradise of cool climate gardens & walkways, is nearby. Bluff is only a 20 minute drive away. 1 1/2 -2 hours drive from Queenstown, Te Anau, Central Otago.

We have 2 one bedroom units for rent they sit on 25 acres of farm land with beauitful views looking over bluff/Invercargill. 15 mins drive to Invercargill & 5 min drive to Bluff. You can rent one or both units the units has being newly built with double-glazing it is warm, sunny, clean & very quiet with everything you need for your stay. Take a break and unwind here with sea views off the deck, approx 300mtrs to a beautiful safe sandy beach great for Surfers, SUPS or sunbathing with changing sheds and seats. A few more steps to the Beachhouse restaurant to dine while watching the waves. The chinese takeaway at Taramea Bay for a quick dinner after a day at the beach. Wander our walking tracks and native bush walks close by. A delightful village with little shops to browse, friendly pubs and cafes is the place to be.
