The Mill, cob house.

Set in a peaceful garden with a pond, this cob house would suit travelers interested in natural Earth building.Built originally to house a stone mill, the cob house still mills fresh flour when unoccupied. Perfect for a couple and a roll out mattress can be provided for a child or third person.This abode is for the adventurous with it's composting toilet and small solar geyser. There is a pizza oven you can use with fresh flour when the miller is home. 'Artists cottage' is on the same property.

Mafube Mountain Retreat is a secluded guest farm about 25 minutes from Clarens and is a hikers and nature lover's paradise! It is situated in a stunning amphitheater of sandstone mountains, is child friendly and has very well defined Dinosaur footprints a short hike from the chalets. The Garden unit is a small self catering unit with one bedroom and which has space for two children sleeping in the lounge area. It is surrounded by a wilderness area and with breathtaking views from every window.

Some of the attractions in the vicinity of Ficksburg include the snow-capped Lesotho mountains and various cherry-related experiences. With Clarens a mere jaunt away, one can easily experience both the creative Eastern Free State jewel and the tranquil hidden gem which is Ficksburg.

Franshoek Farm - The Stables Cottage

The Stables, is a basic and rustic self-catering cottage situated on Franshoek Farm, in the Witterberg Mountains, near Ficksburg. The cottage is located on the sandstone bluff, over-looking a magnificent view of the Valley. As farm stay guests, you enjoy a fully equipped self-catering kitchen which enjoins a central living space with a fireplace. There is a braai and central firepit. Please be advised that the 2 rooms are seperated and not conjoined in the 1 unit.

Pear Tree Cottage is a cozy hideaway in a quiet and peaceful part of Clarens. The cottage is a stand-alone home ensuring a high degree of privacy and has magical views of the Rooiberge. The cottage is situated almost adjacent to the Clarens Conservancy which makes all the various hiking trails easily accessible. We are pet friendly. Easy access from the cottage to Kloof dam for cheeky summer dips. The popular Spruit walk is also just below the cottage.

We invite you to share in our lifestyle while we travel. Our house is situated next to the Clarens Conservancy. The views from the top window and deck are incredible. It's 5 minute walk to the dam and 20 minute walk through the forest to the Square. You will share the space with Coco and Shante, our standard poodles. They are really friendly and love attention. Come enjoy the silence and beauty of our special village, the one we call home.

Red Mountain Retreat Clarens

This holiday home comprises 2 bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms, each fitted with a shower only. One bedroom has a double bed, the other, two singles. The home features a fully equipped kitchen, and a living and dining area. The house features a balcony overlooking the Maluti Mountains, equipped with a gas braai. There is one garage, and the living areas are accessed via a flight of stairs.

The Willows is a spacious, fully equipped, beautifully decorated cottage with a lovely open - plan lounge and kitchen area. It has two seperate bedrooms with two ensuite bathrooms. The verandah of the Willows is a special place to enjoy your holiday from as it looks out over the farm lands and beyond. The Willows is equipped with a fireplace. It has full premium DSTV.

The Damn Caravan is a converted Mobile Park Home, situated on our farm Fairview Estates on the banks of one of our farm dams. This secluded self-catering accommodation offers the ideal romantic breakaway. The ideal spot to break away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Tranquility at its best, especially when you enjoy the view from our outside bath tub.

Luxury apartment Clocolan

Beautiful apartment with wooden floors and high ceilings. It has a view of the Maluti mountains and of the surrounding crop fields. Fully equiped kitchen with a wooden deck and a braai area. On our Guest farm we mainly farm with Essential Oils. There is an interesting tour and shop on the farm where guests can buy an assortment of products that we produce.
