Access is via a spiral staircase to your private balcony which has an uninterrupted magnificent view of Lake King and the mountains beyond. Please note the vehicular ferry is out for maintenance from Nov 10 til Dec 7. During this time we can collect you from the passenger ferry. Wide open spaces, fresh sea air and no crowds. Transport yourself to a 2- storey Hansel and Gretel style cottage in a forest by the water on an island where you can see koalas and wildlife up close in their natural environment. Only 4 hours from Melbourne. We are very sorry pets are not permitted here due to the sensitive nature of the wildlife.

Banool Cottage is a small, dog friendly cottage situated in a quiet closed street . Dogs are welcome ! We love our own dogs so understand the need for guests to be able to have a fun time with theirs . The property is fully fenced , dog beds , bowls, and a kennel are supplied . This area of Metung is an elevated area partly treed with tall gums. A short walk down the hill is the boardwalk that skirts beautiful Bancroft Bay and leads you into Metung Village, (15-20 minutes).

Quiet self-contained unit with abundant bird life

Our peaceful property is a quaint self contained unit which is separate from the main house and has bush views. Please note that we have recently changed our house rules and for safety and suitability reasons we no longer accept bookings with children. We also cannot accommodate pets. Please note that WiFi connection is poor inside the unit but ok on covered deck. No charging of EV permitted but there are two stations in town that we can ferry you too if we are available.
