The Schoolroom @ Barbrook

This is the original Barbrook schoolroom built by the Methodists in 1870 - a large airy groundfloor space with tall windows looking out across the valley. It is now a romantic hideaway for two - an elegant but comfortable open-plan apartment featuring log stove, large bed, and window seats, plus underfloor heating, modern well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, and smart TV. The old workshop is less than a 10 minute walk from the Local Pub, The Staghunters Inn. There are amazing walks from the doorstep, a favourite being the walk to Lynmouth along the spectacular East Lyn river via the National Trust tearooms at Watersmeet. The perfect place to stop for coffee halfway! We had a lot of fun converting The Old Workshop into a warm, cosy space, using reclaimed wood and upcycling items such as old beer barrels and old pine furniture.

Cloud End comfy snug in The Valley of Rocks

Cloud End is a studio room for 2 people. An idyllic, peaceful spot in the heart of the Valley of Rocks with spectacular views of the valley. It is just 5 minute walk down to the Valley of Rocks, 10 minutes walk up the road into Lynton. Visitors can then take the Funicular Cliff Railway down to the picturesque harbour of Lynmouth. The entire space is step free and is easily accessible for people with limited mobility.
