Baby Blue Houseboat

Baby Blue is a Norwegian Lifeboat that got converted into a Houseboat. She used to sail the seven seas on a ship from Valleta on an island called Malta from Italy. There is only one of her kind. She sleeps in the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve on the Mtamvuna river bordering the Eastern Cape and Kwazulu Natal. She's got a King Size bed in the bow, a two plate gas stove, 12v geyser outdoor shower and fully functioning toilet. A solar panel for lights & to charge phones, with a Tandem Kayak to explore.

Fully kitted with an inverter and solar panels, as well as 3 x 5,000 litre jojo tanks filled with council water, you will never be without electricity or water. We have a beautiful swimming pool with sea views for days. Ramsgate main blue flag beach & Waffle House are just a 1km walk, taking the stone steps at the end of our street. Lovely modern self-catering cottage set in a huge beautiful garden right on the beach. Enjoy a glass of bubbly on the deck. Ideal for a romantic getaway. Although no sea view from the unit itself you can fall asleep while listening to the waves crashing at night. Lovely tidal pools to bathe in or to fish. The main Blue flag beach is a short stroll away. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a firepit, braai area outside in the private garden area. Owners willing to assist wherever needed.

Pub and restaurant on site. There are four different beaches within a very easy walk from the cottage. Gillies are available outside the gate for a fishing outing to some top spots.
