the Surf Bug: a new-fashioned one-bedroom bungalow

Fall is finally here:) Enjoy marsh views with an ocean backdrop from the covered porch of our little modern beach house. Designed and built by my husband and myself, the Surf Bug features handcrafted details including cypress trim, hardwood floors, and butcher block countertops. We encourage you to kick off your shoes, unplug, and walk down to the beach—just three minutes walk without crossing any streets. I am a meticulous cleaner, and the white 100% cotton bedding is percale, made in Portugal.

Enjoy a 2 person Hot Tub, comfy queen bed, fast Wi-Fi, 50” Smart TV, kitchenette, Keurig, and private patio. Tiny House living...Can you do it? Come try it out in this 240 sq ft tiny house at the beach! The custom tiny house is just steps from the ocean on a semi-oceanfront lot. Enjoy the multi level outdoor deck with lush landscape or hang out upstairs with floor to ceiling windows and a perfect view of the Rodanthe Pier. The interior exhibits wide plank pine floors, cypress ship lap & custom hickory stairs with mahogany inlay and live cedar accents. The kitchen has concrete counters and a farm sink.

Welcome to Church's Island Carriage House, located on the Currituck Sound directly across from the Corolla Lighthouse. Watch the the sun rise over a panoramic view of the Currituck Sound from your private balcony as you enjoy your morning coffee. It's the perfect set up for a single or couple with separate bedroom, bath, living area and kitchenette. The apartment is up one fight of stairs. Private and located in the quaint community of Waterlily just 30 minutes from OBX and the Virginia line.

With a private entrance through the carport, you will find an airy, refreshing, and bright space to blissfuly make your vacation home away from home. The studio can sleep four with extra room to spare for your beloved fur baby. During your stay, enjoy the quirky kitchenette and functional full bathroom with basic amenities provided. Bonus outdoor spaces include an outdoor shower and back patio to complete your Outer Banks experience.

Treefrog Tower offers a truly unique Outer Banks getaway, nestled in the trees of a private 9 acre pine forest on the border Jockey's Ridge State Park. You may literally walk out our driveway to 450 acres of hiking trails, sound-side beaches, kayaking, kiteboarding, etc. It's a 3-minute drive to the nearest beach access and some favorite local restaurants. The cozy location offers total privacy, facing into the woods with windows everywhere for lots of treetop filtered sunshine.

Welcome to Green Gates! This light and airy space is designed with peace and recharge in mind! This studio apartment is located just seven houses from the beach in Frisco--a quick 2 minute walk or an even quicker bike ride. Walk to the Atlantic Ocean for sunrise and the Pamlico Sound for sunset! Enjoy star gazing on your private deck!

Boutique Surf Shack

This charming cottage located steps from the ocean is loaded with character, originally built to be a diner in 1948 it has been renovated into a charming rental for you to enjoy! This small cottage is 810 sqft, 1 king bedroom and 2 xl twins in bunkroom, 1 queen sofa bed in the sunroom, 1 bath, with an open living, dining, kitchen area. The porch is a favorite spot for morning coffee or evening happy hours!

Come enjoy the fresh ocean breeze at Bluefish Bungalow! This home is a newly renovated classic Avon beach house with direct beach access and a hot tub. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and is designed to sleep up to 7 guests. Bluefish Bungalow has a private beach access path straight from the house. Gypsy Treehouse Gazebo - Walk to Beach
