Since there isn't a key for you to pick-up, you can arrive anytime after the 3pm check-in time. (Check-out time is 1pm) This is one of several remodeled rooms in a 22-unit motel. The remodeled rooms are operated separately from the rest of the motel. They are rented only through Airbnb. The motel building exterior looks like a bland, kinda shabby 1980s apartment building, as I haven't gotten around to painting it yet. We plan on renovating & repainting the exterior in Fall 2018. It is well populated and busy area, lots of traffic, expect average city noise and city parties, lots of police to keep you safe. Besides all the great restaurants, shopping, nightlife you will see a some homeless people who won’t ever bother you. Area is safe and building is secure.

The studio is a large single room with beautiful concrete floors. It as a zen like vibe. The space combines a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a modern and minimal design. Its a custom built house that my wife and I designed. We moved into the house early 2017 and been working on getting the studio ready to rent on air bnb. It has a kitchenette. We usually get up at 7:00 and leave the house by 8:00 or 8:30. In the evening Yoki is home by 5:30 or 6:00pm and goes to bed around 8:00pm. On the weekends we are in and out. The way the house is constructed sound travels between the floors. It’s possible you can hear steps or sound from above. That is the nature of our place. Out of the many guests we had it has never been an issue. But we want to point it out as two guests also mention it in their reviews.

You have your own private entrance with two twin beds (one pulls out and they can be put together to make a king bed), TV, Wi-Fi, access to beautiful outdoor seating , the kitchenette has a sink, refrigerator with separate freezer, coffee & espresso maker, toaster oven and microwave, filtered water dispenser, but no full kitchen. Washer/dryer and access to my bikes, boogie boards & skateboards! The shower/bathroom is located outside in a fenced-in area with a surf board door. I will provide the basics: shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hair dryer. Plenty of free street parking available. ***MUST LOVE DOGS: I have 2 friendly dogs that live with me in my house in front, I will keep them inside for the most part while you are here, but they will be around.
