Steps away from some of the best restaurants + shops in the city and a short walk to the Skytrain + Seabus. A gorgeous loft in a hip and historic part of town.
This is a 700sq/ft two level lofted apartment with 16ft ceilings and polished concrete floors. The living area, kitchen, dining area and bathroom with shower and tub are on the lower level. The queen sized bed, washer and dryer are upstairs. There are two large empty closets with hangers. This loft is on the sixth floor of the building with east facing floor-to-ceiling windows fitted with black-out blinds and a small balcony with nice views of the north shore mountains and the rooftops in Railtown. The loft features mid-century modern decor and a flatscreen tv including an appletv with access to Netflix.
Gastown, Railtown and Chinatown make up part of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside which is a diverse and unique community. Gastown is the heart of Vancouver. It is the city's oldest neighbourhood and full of history and culture. It offers a thriving fashion district, impeccably curated decor boutiques, one of a kind galleries and is bursting with the best food and drink in the city. The downtown eastside is also home to some of the city’s most poor and marginalized. People visiting this area for the first time are sometimes surprised by the sight of homelessness, mental illness and open drug use. If seeing this kind of thing up close makes you uncomfortable, then it is best to avoid walking along the east part of Hastings Street especially between Carrall Street and Main Street. We lived in this neighbourhood for 20 years and raised our young daughter in this building for seven years. We loved our time here and never felt threatened or unsafe. We are more than happy to discuss intelligent ways for you to navigate the neighbourhood during your stay, but we highly recommend you do your own bit of research on the downtown eastside before deciding if this is a suitable location for you. The streets encompassing the building itself are typically very quiet. The majority of Gastown's restaurants and bars are a couple of blocks away so there isn’t a lot of street or foot traffic in the evenings. However, the building is directly next to functioning train tracks. This area of Railtown/Gastown marks the end of the line for all trains coming into the city. This means that they typically move past the building at very slow speeds. They brake and sometimes shunt. If you've never heard train cars shunt before, it can be very loud at times. The trains do not run constantly, but they also have no predictable schedule and can be heard at any hour of the day or night 7 days a week. Most people are not bothered by the trains and some even find them charming. We live in the same building and we hardly notice them. However, if you are a light sleeper, there are earplugs available in the bedside drawer if needed. We have carefully curated a Guidebook featuring some of our favorite neighbourhood restaurants, cafes, sites and shopping recommendations. You can access the Guidebook from our listing, but we will also leave a printed copy for you in the loft.

Our cool and comfortable apt has been a pleasure to renovate. We scoured modern & vintage stores for comfortable and good looking furnishings. Small but practical and lovely. Our patio and front garden is a nice evening dinner spot.
**Our rates change with the seasons, summer being the peak travel time to Vancouver, so check the rate on your travel days before you book so you're not surprised. Thanks!** Great location between downtown and Commercial Drive. Cool in the heat of the summer. The kitchen has a small fridge, a two burner stove top, a large toaster oven, a stove top espresso maker, electric hot water kettle, and the regular staples. The space is an open plan with a double bed. About 400sqft. We've made it as practical and as pretty as we could for our guests.
We are located on the eastern edge of Strathcona. Strathcona is a very walkable neighbourhood, tree lined traffic calmed streets. There is a bike route right around the corner that runs east/west. We are close to Chinatown, Commercial Drive, Gastown. Strathcona and surrounding arounds has tons of parks scattered around. There is small coffee shops and ice cream shops near by, not to mention the beer! (I will) As previously mentioned, we are in the heart of the brewery district. There are 8 and counting (!) independent breweries within walking distance from the house.

850 sq ft (78 sq m) of living space. This southwest facing home offers lots of natural light with open views from Downtown to False Creek. The home features: a balcony, laminate floors through out and an open concept kitchen with stainless steel full size appliances, thick granite tops & a wine fridge. One secured gated parking spot big enough to fit a full size SUV included. VERY IMPORTANT: My apartment is not infant/toddler friendly. There are sharp ledges and a lot of knick knacks lying around they could break. So it's not ideal for children under 7 yo. The master bathroom has a deep soaker tub and is separated from the 2nd bathroom by a common shower with frosted glass. I have installed an opaque shower curtain for additional privacy. Please see bathroom pics. The building faces SkyTrain tracks and can be noisy for guests who are not used to the hustle and bustle of big cities. Please bring ear plugs if you think this will bother you. SkyTrain runs until about 12 AM. The trains do slow down when they pass residential buildings at night. In the summer time, it can get pretty warm in the afternoon but cools down quickly in the evening. Cooling the apartment is possible by 2 portal air-conditioners in each bedroom. You may also leave the patio door and windows open to let the cool fresh air in at all times.
Located right in the heart of downtown Vancouver sandwiched between urban Yaletown, historical Gastown, and cultural Chinatown. Literally steps from Rogers Arena, BC Place Stadium, the Seawall, and the Skytrain (Vancouver's rapid transit rail system). Within a one block radius you will find Costco, T&T Supermarket, International Village shopping centre, Starbucks, a pharmacy, a variety of cafes and restaurants, and much more. Everything you will want or need within a 10 minute walk or less. You can't ask for more!

This private entry space, one bedroom, bathroom, garden level space, is most suitable for 2 guests. Right beside a bus stop, 8 min walk to nearest Skytrain. Groceries just across the street. If no traffic, drive to downtown (13 min), Metrotown (10 min). Lots of free street parking. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. Our house is newer and most of the furniture is new. Own clothes washer and dryer, WiFi and heated floors makes this cozy suite the perfect place to relax.
The Private Entry one private Bedroom comes with a stove, oven, pots, pans, blender, toaster, drip coffee maker, and rice cooker, private Bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and has it's own clothes Washer and Dryer. Heated floors for the winter. WiFi and TV with Netflix provided. The suite is for two people. The walls are drywall and the entire house laminate floors so depending on the other guests, there likely will be muffled noise during your stay.

Enter through a keyless entry door and you will find a newly renovated basement suite with a living room that comes with a 50 inch 4k T.V. that you will be able to watch Netflix and connect your phone with. The living room sofa also turns into another bed. A complete kitchen (toaster, microwave, and oven), and can't forget the complimentary coffee. Two bedrooms one queen in the first bedroom and one twin bed in the other. The space also comes with one full bathroom. It includes a hairdryer and towels. Let me know if you forget your hair straightener as well :) And of course there is WIFI!
The area, which is given a designation of “Up & Coming”, receives high marks from respondents for food, arts, music and nightlife offerings, as well as being bicycle friendly. Main Street is very trendy and has amazing coffee spots as well as dining. I can't wait to share my personal hotspots with you.

Our place is close to Fraser st and 49th ave. 15 mins bus to langara station (canada line), 10mins walks to the restaurants, starbucks and grocery stores. You’ll love our place because of the quiet neighbourhood and we've got palm trees in our garden. Our place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Our place is very unique because of our palm trees in front of the house and very nice garden. The room has a queen bed and clean. Washroom is very close to the room. You can go to the kitchen and get some water. Cooking is not allowed but you can use the microwave for heating food.

Very close to all that the Drive has to offer.
We are on a tree lined cul de sac. The street is community oriented and very friendly. If you aren't familiar with the drive, this is one of the most diverse places to eat in Vancouver. 7 pubs within 5 blocks and lots of restaurants makes the area very happening.

This modern charming garden level studeo was updated with all the amenities for guest to feel like home away from home. It has a comfortable real queen size bed. We are on major direct bus lines to Skytrain, Downtown Vancouver, Metrotown. Bus stop is litterally steps away from our house (33rd Street takes you to UBC/Skytrain). Located along a bike route, it is near parks, 2-3 blocks from public transit, and a 20-minute walk to cafés, food, Main St. and Commercial Drive. We're less central than other places but our city neighbourhood is relatively quiet. Please be aware that while there is soundproofing, we have young children and footsteps can often be heard in the suite bedroom. Note there is no stove so its not set up for much cooking.
This basement suite boasts a private entrance with keyless entry. The polished concrete flooring and underfloor heating add a warm elegance to the space. Included in the space is a: - bedroom with a queen-size bed, walk-in closet, iron and ironing board. - living space with couch, table and chairs. - TV with a few channels, a DVD player, an HDMI cable hookup, and a small selection of DVDs. - kitchenette with fridge, microwave, and kettle. Note there is no stove so it is not set up for much cooking. - bathroom with large mirror, shower, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and hairdryer.
We love our location. A 20 minute walk east to bustling Commercial Drive or west to hip Main St, you're close to whatever shopping or entertainment you're looking for. We're also 2-3 blocks from public transit so it's easy to get to several major city sites in 30-60 minutes. We live on a cherry tree-lined street with a park two blocks away so if you want peace and quiet, you have that too!

Large, quiet master bedroom in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Walking distance to absolutely everything. BC Place, Rogers Arena, The Orpheum, Commodore Ballroom, and all other event venues within minutes of the front door. Room is great for those wanting to explore the city, or because it is a larger room with a desk, great for quiet reading and studies.
