Why does Singapore have a Chinatown when about 75% of its population are Chinese? Head up to level 2 of block 335 Smith Street for tastier and cheaper local street food. The food street on the ground floor costs slightly more. You will find a morning wet market at the basement of block 335 Smith Street. My parents head here for fresh produces once a week.
