selamat pagi (“good morning” in indonesian) serves up fresh, seasonal, traditional and inspired indonesian dishes, 7 nights a week, with brunch on weekends.
the kitchen uses local grass fed, sustainable and organic meats, seafood and poultry, organic eggs and produce, with a strong focus on awesome vegan and vegetarian dishes as well.

Italian out of a dream (or atleast one of mine). Place plays GREAT music, hip/fun vibe, the food and staff are amazing staff. Again, one of my favorite spots in all of Brooklyn!
This would be the go to Brunch spot too!

Lots of goodness in their prepared foods section to take home! Great sandwiches (amazing vegan stuffs too). They serve Stumptown coffee, which is pretty Bomb!

it's a hidden gem. hipster korean, real original concept. They do interesting rice bowls, etc. with always changing combinations. It's a pretty cool place to go read/work/chill too. just slightly off the beaten path for sure.

L-Train - 1 stop to Manhattan, 3 to Union Square. You can walk here in about 15 min, take the bus from my corner @ Nassau Ave, or ride over in a citibike. The walk is really nice, through 2 parks and lots of fun shops/bars/restaurants, etc etc..
L-Train @ Graham Stop is a little closer than Bedford, lot's of great restaurants over there too. G-Train @ Nassau Avenue - closest train to the the apartment. Connects parts of Brooklyn and Queens, also meets the L train if you prefer.
Citibike is on both sides of McGolrick Park, 2 blocks from the apartment. You can purchase daily and weekly access.
