Further out over surrounding farmland you can see Tongariros snow capped mountains in the distance, so sit back and enjoy. The mighty Tongariro River with its world famous trout fishing pools is at the end of the road, the Turangi township is a 5 min drive or a beautiful walk past the river and the Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro crossing are only 40mins away.
