Walk to the observation bench at the top of the biggest 50 ft waterfall. Follow the trail behind the falls. Several major state parks with hikes within a few miles of the cabin. The cabin has fiber optic WiFi which is not shared. Pet cats not allowed; we are allergic.

The cabin is a 7 minute walk to the entrance of the Caverns if you're here to enjoy a show or to go on a cave tour. We are 6 miles from I-24 off exit 127. 1 hour to Nashville or Chattanooga and 10 miles to Sewanee or Monteagle.

It is 13 miles from The Caverns concert venue (about a 20 minute drive). The cabin is close to Sewanee, which has many hiking trails and is home to The University of the South (about 7 miles from our cabin/ a 16 minute drive.) Other local hiking and recreation options include the South Cumberland State Park and Tims Ford State Park.

Built originally in the 1870's, the restored Moonshine Runners Cabin sits tucked right near downtown Tracy City with easy access to Fiery Gizzard, Dutch Maid Bakery, and the Grundy County Historical Society. The rustic cabin is surrounded by shady trees and native bushes with a waterfall and pond under construction! 50 yards away is the mountain goat trail. Access for biking and walking. Certain times a year we do experience some ladybugs inside of homes. Please know that all lady bugs are removed by housekeepers during the cleaning process, but are likely to be back quite quickly in large quantities.
