Mill House - Villa on Forgotten World Highway

This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. Mill House is a fully furnished, four bedroom/one bathroom home that comfortably sleeps eight. The stunning Oakura surf beach and Black Sand Pizzeria is just a 15 minute walk away, the cute little Oakura village, cafes and restaurants, a 12 minute walk away, and the Kaitake Ranges a 15 minute walk.

The Village hosts a cafe, petrol station, large mountain bike park, NZ's largest Holden Museum with luge and mini golf.

Kaitake Kabana - Unique Studio Retreat

Escape to the tranquility of Kaitake Kabana, an off-grid studio retreat space, nestled in the foothills of the Kaitake Ranges. This space is ideal for two, perfect for couples looking for a getaway (but can sleep up to 4 people with an extra mattress on the floor). The bathroom space and kitchenette are detached from the main living space. There is no wifi here and limited reception, come to embrace the serenity and switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
