Experience Louisiana's dance culture and enjoy a life enhancing moment, while sipping on some daiquiri cocktails. There will be a 60-minute Bounce & Twerk dance lesson and routine taught by professional dance artists, Moe Joe, owner of The Moe Joe Gallery and creator of Bounce Fitness w/Moe Joe. Throughout class Moe Joe will teach you her spin on the genre and how dance is an inner body/spirit release. Other things to note This is a class that will make you sweat because of the dancing involved. No dance experience is necessary to take this class only the will to dance and learn.

In a beautiful Mexican-style house, surrounded by gardens, our Culinary Experience starts off with a brief, yet quite informative, introduction to the essential flavors and ingredients of Mexican cuisine We will also do a mezcal tasting so you can learn how to identify a good one! Then, moving on to the unique experience of preparing an authentic Mexican meal from scratch! We try to always use traditional utensils, like metate and molcajete, to have a real cooking experience. Tras la visita emprenderemos al melipona río nos dirigiremos a nuestra unidad de manejo ambiental para conocer de cerca las actividades e iremos por un sendero en la jungla hasta llegar a 200 metros a un magnifico cenote subterráneo donde podrás zambullirte y nadar en sus aguas iluminadas y cristalinas.

From there we will ride together to Guanabacoa, our hometown. Once there, you will learn about the influence of the Afro-Cuban religions in our cuisine while we share a typical beverage. Then, Jose´s mom will show you how to cook in our local style, having the opportunity to understand when, why, and how we prepare each dish. Finally, we will enjoy tasting the different plates that we prepared and, in that moment, when we are laughing and sharing our personal stories under the rhythm of drums, you will realize that the simple act of eating assumes mystical dimensions and has the power to bring strangers together like family. At the end of the day you will know how flavors, music and dance tell the story of the desires and struggles of our African ancestors. This experience focuses on the difficult process of making a cigar. From the hand of an experienced cigar roller we will learn to make an examplar, we will explain all the specificities that accompany the process of making this product, from the time it is grown, until it reaches your hands. This will be the perfect time for our CIGAR CHALLENGE, after which we will reward the best cigar roller of the experience. After choosing our winner (special ceremony included), we will go on to what we consider to be an authentic ritual: the smoking of the habano, action that we will combine with other delights, giving way to an excellent pairing among cigars, rum and coffee. And then, SURPRISE, a second contest!! We will be competing among each other to select the person who manages to keep the longest cigar ash, and the one who best performs some other tricks we will be teaching you. This is called: LONG ASH CONTEST. At the end of the experience more gifts will come, and that is because we do not want you to leave without taking with you souvenirs related to this experience, so you will be bringing home with you some amazing memories but also little things that will forever remind you of Cuba. We'll meet in the city center and travel to a popular neighborhood using public transportation, just as typical Cubans do. We'll walk through the community and interact with the people there so you can see what a normal day is like for the locals. We'll learn about the educational and health systems, visit and learn about historical places, and get to know and interact with small businesses that are part of the lives of the Cuban people. Together, we'll experience the daily lives and idiosyncrasies of Cubans, and learn about the main accomplishments and challenges of our economic and social reality. The day will end at my family's home, where you will get to know the story of my Cuban family, and also taste some typical drinks and snacks. After a journey, on a ground transportation, of more than 8km in the middle of the jungle, we will immerse ourselves in a cave and underground river system for a guided exploration, crossing the most surreal rock formations. Helmets well screwed on the head, and water shoes on, we will let our lights pierce the darkness and silence to make way for a world as ancient as magical. During the first part of the visit, which is mainly conducted walking and does not require any specific swimming level, you will understand the deep relationships that link the Mayan civilization and the jungle to the majestic Cenotes. In the last part, we will have the opportunity to swim, relax and snorkel in a fantastic and out of this world natural pool.   We will recover from our emotions and share around a meal composed of local specialties cooked in the jungle on a fire pit. And if you are part of the LGBTIQ+ (etc etc) Community you might want to know there's a "Gay Beach" in Havana. Clear waters, in the company of a local host that will make you laugh and feel like a dear friend, will turn a regular day into a memorable one. We'll pick you up from your Airbnb first thing in the morning. You'll have to bring 35$ in cash as second part of the payment of the experience. In addition, the taxi is arranged by us but not included in that price. It will cost 50$/€ per group, so the more travelers participating at the experience, the less the taxi will cost for each of you. Beers and water will be available to keep us hidrated, while we swim, sail, and share personal stories. Visitaremos los templos más importantes de la civilización maya por el mar, todo el viaje será desde una embarcación (lancha). Enfrente de los templos podrán fotografiar las construcciones, tambien veremos el gran faro maya, la herencia que tenemos como navegantes. Para concluir realizaremos la actividad de snorkeling en el segundo arrecife más grande del mundo donde podremos observar peces tropicales, mantarrayas, tortugas marinas y la barrera de arrecifes. Get ready to explore 3 wildly different and beautiful cenotes, snorkel inside a cave and enjoy a local Mayan lunch. **More cenotes can be added for additional costs, DM for details** We will head out from our meeting point in Centro of Playan del Carmen at 8:00am. Our first stop will be at one of the most picturesque cenotes in the region. Here we can snorkel, jump from cliffs or enjoy a relaxing natural pedicure. We will be on our way before the crowds arrive towards a beautiful cenote off the beaten path. Here we can enjoy the peace of the forest and observe nature. I will provide information about the cenotes and how they formed, a bit of Mayan history and tidbits about interesting wildlife. We will enjoy: - snorkelling inside a stunning cave - taking lots of photos among the rock formations At this point we are going to be hungry so we will head out for a delicious local Mayan lunch included in the price. To end the day off we will visit a final cenote. It is unlike any of the others in topography and wildlife. We can: - snorkel in the mangroves - observe a variety of fish species, crabs, eels and resident crocodile - birdwatch - paddle board/kayak for an extra cost *This is an eco friendly tour, using biodegradable products and reusable/recyclable containers for food and beverages. Spend a perfect day to experience the beauty and diversity of cenotes.
