Kif tgħin lill-klijenti ta' Kmamar jivvjaġġaw daqslikieku kienu nies tal-post
Airbnb bdiet bħala pjattaforma fejn il-vjaġġaturi setgħu joqogħdu ġewwa d-dar ta' ħaddieħor mingħajr ma jonfqu ħafna flus. Il-proġett tagħna kompla jikber hekk kif il-Hosts u l-klijenti minn madwar id-dinja kollha bdew jibnu rabtiet ġenwini bejniethom.
Il-kategorija Kmamar tiċċelebra dan kollu. Għadd dejjem ikbar ta' Hosts qed jgħinu lill-klijenti jivvjaġġaw qishom kienu nies tal-post. Hemm ħafna modi kif jagħmlu hekk, fosthom li jaqsmu l-pariri fuq il-postijiet li l-klijenti għandhom iżuru u li jżommu moħħ miftuħ u jitgħallmu mingħand il-klijenti.
Dawn huma l-istejjer ta' kif tliet Hosts bnew rabtiet ġenwini mal-klijenti.
Aqsam l-iktar postijiet inqas magħrufa li tħobb
Tista' tgħin lill-klijenti tiegħek jiskopru ż-żona tiegħek billi toħloq gwida għall-ivvjaġġar għal-listing tiegħek. Dan mod ħafif kif taqsam is-suġġerimenti mal-klijenti. Innutajna li l-Hosts bi gwida tal-ivvjaġġar għandhom ċans ikbar jiksbu booking.
Ħafna Hosts jagħtu wkoll is-suġġerimenti tagħhom wiċċ imb wiċċ meta jiltaqgħu mal-klijenti. Reed, li flimkien ma' martu huwa Host ta' Kamra ġewwa Philadelphia, jistieden lill-klijenti jingħaqdu miegħu u ma' martu għall-ikla tal-Ħadd. Reed isajjar stuffat u jistaqsi lill-klijenti jekk hemmx xi ħaġa li jixtiequ jagħmlu. Imbagħad jaqsam magħhom "dawk il-postijiet tal-ġenn li mhux tas-soltu", bħal pereżempju kaffetterija fil-qrib b'ħitan miksija bil-kotba.
Kultant Reed jistieden lill-klijenti biex jingħaqdu miegħu għaż-żfin, wieħed mill-iktar passatempi li jħobb. "Ħadna għadd ta' klijenti jiżfnu f'post b'mużika Latina biex inqumu ftit fuq tagħna," jgħidilna. Xi klijenti "saru qishom parti mill-familja", żied jgħidilna.
Making guests feel at home
Guests may book your room because your host profile creates a sense of familiarity, which can help guests feel comfortable staying with you.
Nicola, who hosts a room in Fitzroy, Australia, shares that she appreciates new cultures and cuisines. She’s found that some guests like to “hang out and feel like they’ve got a home here.”
She and her brother, a renowned chef in Melbourne, sometimes offer to cook meals with guests. “We’ve got a commercial kitchen, so they can roll out the pasta or the panini breads,” she says.
One group felt so at ease that they did yoga in Nicola’s living room. “It was great that they really enjoyed the space,” she says. Noting their interest in exercise, Nicola took them to a park nearby, where they spent an afternoon climbing trees and talking about other places to explore.
Embracing the unexpected
Think about how you’d like to interact with guests, and let them know what you prefer. If you’re up for socializing, your openness may lead to meaningful connections.
Garth, a host in Auckland, New Zealand, says welcoming guests allows him to spend more time with people from other cultures without traveling. He thought, “Let’s bring the people to me.”
One of Garth’s most memorable moments as a host happened with guests visiting from France. The mother asked if her son could watch him tinker in his garage workshop. “He thought everything I was doing was cool,” Garth says.
So Garth came up with a project they could do together. “We made a little boat, and we painted it,” he says. “It was really lovely, because he didn’t speak English, but we had this shared language.”
