John was very responsive and helpful when we asked him for ideas of things to do in the area. We even got a piano serenade in the evening! Bed was comfy for 2 and the place was peaceful in the middle of the woods. The place was a bit more cluttered, run-down and not as clean as we would have liked. We expected a bit more of a minimalistic and tidy decor. Felt expensive for what it was--especially with a shared bathroom. But I realize that since it was UMass Amherst family weekend perhaps prices were higher than usual.

John is a great host, very kind and considerate. The area where the house is located is peaceful and pretty. I would highly recommend the place.
