I spent 8 nights here and it’s a pretty well connected place, a few minutes walk to the A and C train that brings you to most places you’d need to go.

With regard to the actual stay, the room is small (clearly) but I found it to be cosy, bare and stripped down to only the necessities. It does get noisy at night and early in the morning, even though the staff are on night duties, there’s only so much they can do about loud snorers and people slamming their doors/walking loudly. Again, this is something that’s already mentioned so you’re going to have to be okay with it.

The area around the hostel’s not exactly the safest as there are more homeless people around the neighbourhood, I’ve been pushed by 1 homeless man, and harassed by another while I was walking home on two separate nights just minding my own business. Not exactly the safest spot for solo female travellers.

But if you’re looking for somewhere cheap and good value, this is for you. Thank you for the cosy stay!
