This house is a personal residence and no longer an Airbnb. Host never contacted me to make different arrangements. The lady who answered the ring doorbell stated this has happened several times. This property needs to be taken off the site so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Had to have Airbnb refund my money.

After receiving a confirmation message and instructions on how to get into the house. I attempted to get in using the code and it would not work come to find out. Someone is living in that house already and told us that they’ve been renting that property for months and they’ve been trying to get it off of Airbnb. The person staying in the house went on and said how we were being scammed.

This is after I’ve already had a long day trying to find another location for an Airbnb because the original place I booked had damage by previous people staying there so that host had to cancel.

With me frantically trying to find a second location I stumbled across this place. Just to come to find out. I’m being scammed.
This host needs to be reported.

Airbnb needs to do better.

THIS HOUSE IS A SCAM!

We reserved this home last year well in advance for our daughter’s graduation with relatives traveling from out of town. On day of check in, code did not work. Attempted to contact host and phone was disconnected. Called Airbnb for help. Owners of home came home and said they rent the home and no idea about Airbnb. Contact their owner contact and he tells me they no longer work for Lubbock Overnight. Research the owners name to locate another property management and drove to his location and spoke with him. First, when I asked for him to a man in the parking lot, he laughed as if we weren’t the first to find him. He came outside and told me a sob story about embezzlement and how he manages two other properties. It is a scam. I told him this is unethical and I reported him to Airbnb. Do not rent from here. They need to remove this property as well as their others to stop this fraud scam. We ended up finding a hotel last minute but it was very stressful.

I booked this house August 2024 for my daughter’s college graduation. I began reaching out in February with no reply. Then the day of my travel I still couldn’t get them to respond. We ended up having to get Airbnb to cancel and refund us since someone was living there. We were left scrambling to find somewhere to stay. Don’t rent from Lubbock Overnight.
