Lulju 2019Our first time to NY is very pleasant, not only for the great city, but for living in Vincent's room as well. It is in a spacious historical townhouse. Vincent is very considerate, We find can most things we need. The location is perfect. The nearest subway station is shocking at the first sight, but soon I know It is just NY style, for the whole area is safe even at midnight. Thank to Vincent, will book the next time definitely.

Lulju 2019Vincent's room is located in a characteristic Brooklyn's brownstone building. We arrived late so the self check-in was very convenient for us. The neighbourhood was nice. Except one time, when we were coming back home late on a Saturday, there were a lot of people in the street partying, smoking, and generally being loud, so we weren't feeling very safe. But maybe we just had bad luck, don't know. The room in generall is nice - it's a great value for money. It has a private bathroom (with folding door which was totally fine for us but if you want privacy that might be an issue), air conditioning (which saved our lives, NYC was sooo hot this July), and a TV, hair dryer - all you'd expect from a hotel room. The bed was big and comfortable. Sheets were clean and nice. There's also a shared kitchen. The apartment is conveniently located about 10 min walk to subway station which will get you in approx. 30min to Downtown Manhattan. You can also take a bus if you don't want to walk - the bus stop is just opposite the building. Overall we liked it and recommend it, especially for the price we paid.

Lulju 2019Due to the size NY finding a difficult place and affordable accommodation it is not easy. Therefore the accommodation was oke. The building is situated in a multicultural area and 12 minutes walk from the subway, if you like city’s the distance is no problem, but you do walk across a typical US neighbourhood. As the host explains he has only bedrooms with a shared accommodation. Therefore locking the doors is essential. The building is reasonable clean and if you like imperial houses with high ceiling this building is oke. Around the corner there are supermarket so home cooking is no problem. There is also a public swimming pool “Kosciuszko Swimming Pool” (free of charge) make sure you buy a lock for the locker room. The Subway takes you in little then 15 minutes and 8 stops to Manhattan.
