David’s place was great for a friends trip with kids - very peaceful surroundings with its own trails. Bedrooms were better than photos; overall great stay!

I held a small retreat for a few church friends for the purpose of planning, but also relaxing. The house was everything we could have wanted! Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, the views were incredible and it made for a awesome getaway! In addition, David was quick to respond with any needs that arose. What a beautiful setting to create a peaceful getaway! I would definitely come back!

This was our second time staying at The Shire. Lovely views, great well equipped home- we’ll be back!
