This is a high, high value for Boston downtown. Don't expect brand new finishes, and be prepared to walk up the stairs. It did have a working elevator, but I was adequately warned that it might not be working during my stay. I experienced minor annoyances: loud partiers outside on Friday night, a window refused to stay closed at it had been used for an air conditioning unit, the bedroom closet door swings open on the wrong side. None of this was worth complaining about and that's why I give 5 stars. The apartment smelled clean and had lots of space to spread out. Very comfortable. The location is awesome, since it was just a few hundred feet from my business conference, a Fedex Office, and Faneuil Hall/New England Aquarium. Ideal for two or three people max. Great stay, especially if you are in good health and like to walk the city. I did not have a vehicle.

The location of this Airbnb was great, and the space itself was clean and tidy, with a nice layout. However, my overall experience wasn’t very restful. The bed and pillows were extremely firm and uncomfortable — I woke up with a head/backache each morning. The green chair in the living area had little cushioning, so sitting on it felt like sitting directly on the springs.
Another issue was that the smoke alarm went off every time I showered if the bathroom door wasn’t completely closed — the steam set it off, which was quite startling.
Unfortunately, the biggest problem was the noise. There was loud techno music every night from about 11:30-3am, that made the bed vibrate. On one night, a man was yelling outside around 5 a.m., claiming he was Jesus — not exactly restful.
For the amount I paid (over $2000 ), I was expecting a much more comfortable and peaceful stay. While the apartment itself is nice and well-located, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values a good night’s sleep.

The stay was seamless and enjoyable from beginning to end. The apartment was exactly as described in the photos, and was located centrally on Newbury which made it incredibly easy and convenient to walk to a vast number of restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and entertainment. The host gave very clear instructions, making it easy to check in and out. There is normal amount of city noise that comes in from the windows, but this was pleasant to us, and it became quiet at a reasonable time. I look forward to the opportunity to stay here again.

Thanks for hosting us!! This is a good location if you have a few people or family that want to be together. Close to a lot of attractions and very walkable, though a little sketchy at night. And noisy at night, but it is a city! Luckily we can sleep
through anything. The couch isn’t the most comfortable which I wouldn’t normally care about, but we were here during a nor’easter so spent more time in the apt. then we normally would have. Overall a great experience in one of my favorite cities!
