We had a wonderful stay in this spacious, thoughtfully designed five-level home. The lower level has a garage and a mechanical room with the water heater. The second level is a self-contained unit with its own kitchen, sitting room, bedroom, and bathroom, which worked perfectly for our family. The third level is a cozy family room where we gathered for TV and board games. On the fourth level you’ll find a large, well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable dining area, two bedrooms, and two terraces. The larger terrace has a gas grill and a gas fire pit with chairs around it; evenings there were peaceful and relaxing. The fifth level offers another bedroom with a large bed. The house is warm and comfortable throughout, and you can tell the host has put real care into every detail to make guests feel at home. There is something for everyone here, from chess and board games to beautiful walks around the lake in the nearby national park. Highly recommended.

This vacation home is a real find and very well priced for its size and excellent condition. We are three couples and one single person and we stayed at the house for three nights.
We had a wonderful time. The house is spacious, with multiple decks and seating areas, so there is always a comfortable space to be in. There is lots of room to gather but also places for privacy when desired. The home appears to have been recently refurbished; the furniture is comfortable, tasteful and in good condition. The décor Is also tasteful and well-coordinated. The kitchen areas are well-equipped, with dinnerware and utensils that are matching and in good condition.
The house is very well-located--at the west end of Donner Lake away from most of the traffic and near the Donner Lake community beach and park, but also conveniently located just outside of Truckee.
Altogether this house is a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay.

It was the perfect long weekend getaway to beautiful Donner Lake. The cabin was just amazing and we and our adult "kids" enjoyed the location and beauty of the lake from every deck! The cabin was exceptionally clean, neat and had everything you could want. We can't wait to go back next summer!
