Pacific Social Club

A tiny cafe that turns into a bar in the evenings, it has brilliant decor with Hawaiian record sleeves and posters all over the walls. There’s an old turntable behind the bar—the last time I went they were playing a lot of Asian surfer rock. I didn’t even know that was a thing! The cocktail list is classic, with a tropical fruit twist. Their version of a French 75 has guava in it, which is pretty special. And the small plates of food are very light and Asian-influenced, too. The gyoza is something special.
