Take a day trip away from the town and visit Assateague National or State parks. See the wild ponies on the beach and you can even get a permit to drive on the beach which in kinda fun!

Wonderful to see the wild ponies. Beware that the beach tends to have a lot of mosquitoes.

This is an awesome beach. You will see wild ponies and sika deer. No boardwalk here. You can get weekly or annual passes, showers & bathrooms available. Camping sites are also available.

Educational with live sea creatures. Located right before the bridge to go over to Assateague Island. Great stop on a rainy day.
