Located in John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Christ of The Abyss is an underwater statue of Christ blessing the depths off Key Largo. The top of the statue sits at around 8 to 10 feet below the surface, making it visible to snorkelers. But SCUBA divers get the best views (and the best selfies) of Florida’s Christ of the Abyss, diving down alongside the statue as it stands, arms aloft, among the coral reefs, an occasional barracuda or ray drifting past. Snorkeling, SCUBA and Glass Bottom Boat Tours can be arranged through the State Park. Power Boats, Kayak, Canoe and Paddleboards can also be rented for the inland waters.

Christ of the Abyss is a 8.5 foot, 4,000 pound bronze sculpture of Jesus Christ that stands in 25 feet of water off Key Largo, in the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. This statue is one of the most famous and visited underwater sites on earth.
You can snorkel, dive, and or swim. Navigation with your own vessel is possible but please be careful and follow proper charts and water depth. A good day on the water. There are several snorkeling and dive boat operators in Key Largo that have daily trips.
