Hotel Emma itself is a local favorite and the bar is, too. Offering a nice spot to enjoy drinks and apps, you may choose to stay longer than expected. Helpful hint? Arrive early to grab a private cozy spot created in one of the historic Pearl Brewery’s former distillers.

Running out of the former Pearl Brewhouse, the 1894 building is now one of SA’s most beautiful hotels. The landmark was designed by Chicago architect August Maritzen in the Second Empire style, and modern-day designers did a solid job of keeping the character of the structure intact as it transformed into a hotel. Everything is gorgeous here, so you’ll be enamored the entire time.

The Pearl District anchor is the Emma Hotel - lots of shops, restaurants, and the Bar inside the hotel is a must see. La Gloria street food is right there, so is Cured, and other craft brew and food fights between local chefs.
